Title: Seeds, Flower Season

Title (Original Language): 种子、花季

Year: 2019

Words in the Drawing: “ I started to operate as a florist when I was living in the bachelor’s chalet and wholesaled the flowers to the flower stores in the settlement. After I got married, I lived in the marriage quarters. Next to the house was an open space not being utilized and such a waste, so usually after finishing work, I would plant more plants and flowers so that I could sell them to the flower stores.  Doing this prevents the open space from being overgrown with weeds, and at the same time, it helps bring in extra income for the family expenses too. Even though I was busier, I treat it as a workout for the body, killing two birds with one stone. I have pasted butterflies on this fluid artwork, but I realize that I have never seen any butterflies on the plants that I planted. I think the reason could be because I had used pesticides, but if I don’t use it, there will be many bugs. There is no way to avoid it. ”

Title: Emotional feelings at old age

Title (Original Language): 年终的心情

Year: 2019

Words in the Drawing: “ Time goes by year after year, and the days will continue to pass too. In a blink of an eye, I'm already 80 years old, and my daughter is all grown up. She is 28 years old this year. I've finally waited until this moment to see her get married. On October 10th, 2020, my daughter will be holding her wedding reception at the Valley of Hope. She has finally found a good husband and will be having a life of her own. Of course, I am happy.
My daughter told me last night that after she gets married at the end of the year, she wants to move out and live in “Mei Li” village with her husband. She normally lives with us. If she moves away, then it will remain only the two of us, and we will become lonely old people. If anything happens, we won’t be able to care for one another anymore. So, when my daughter gets married at the end of the year, I have mixed feelings of joy and sadness. ”
